Save our Ship

Commissioned in 1914 as the most powerful weapon in the world, the Battleship TEXAS is credited with the introduction and innovation of advances in gunnery, aviation, and radar.  She is the last surviving Dreadnought, as well as, the only battleship in existence today that fought in both World War I and World War II. She served us with destinction and honor, and now its is our turn to serve her.  With our team of dedicated members, First Texas Volunteers continues to uphold its commitment to educate the public on the ship's history and significance, and work to restore and maintain the Battleship TEXAS.  To learn more about how you can get involved in our continuing efforts select the links below.  Thank you in advance and we look forward to working with you.
